Andre Houston founded his firm in 1987. It is located in Historic Capitol Hill, Washington, DC. The firm has designed over 50 residential projects, including several projects published in the Washington Post and elsewhere. In addition, the firm has designed over a dozen religious institutions, including award winning projects and projects published in the Washington Post. Before founding his firm, Andre Houston was an Associate at Metcalf and Associates, where he designed the competition winning and award winning Residences at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, Virginia, the US Embassy in Cairo and the US Ambassadorís residence in Cairo. Andre Houston also worked at Perkins and Will in Teheran and Chicago, where he designed, among other projects, the Iranzamin School in Teheran. Shortly after Graduating from college, Andre Houston joined the American Peace Corps, where he designed several buildings in Iran. Mr. Houston attended Yale University and received an MArch and a BA degree, Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa.
